Programming Guides
There are many great resources for learning how to use programs like SAS, Stata, R, and Python. These programs are often used in marketing research, especially when examining the marketing-finance interface or studying unstructured data (e.g., text, images, audio). Here are some free sites and packages that I have used and would suggest as a starting point. Moreover, if you are a subscriber to The Economist, I would highly recommend signing up for their "Off the Charts" newsletter for further tips on "gathering, analyzing, and visualizing data." The Economist provides discounted subscriptions for students and teachers/faculty. Please email me if you've found any other resources particularly helpful.
